Pedestrian Path Offers Serene Views of a Bustling Austin Skyline on a Cool Saturday Morning

Hey everyone, this is Gary for City Vibe. It's a Saturday morning. 10:46 a.m. Happy Pride Day y'all. This is the uh pedestrian, uh, on ramp. So the first South First Street bridge. See that beautiful Austin skyline just coming into shot here. Relatively cold morning today. It's still only in the low 80s at 10:47. Am and the humidity actually isn't too bad either. Uh, so let's take a look and see how much activity we've got. Uh, on this South First Street bridge here, yeah, a few power walkers, guy on an e-bike. And uh this is your shot now, um. Just down there is the uh Butler Hike and Bike Trail. Plenty of activity out there, little boat dock, and that's your view looking along the uh South First Street Bridge in the direction of that beautiful Austin downtown skyline. Everyone, Gary from City vibe here. I'm up, uh, on the South First Street Bridge, just giving you a bird's eye view of the, uh, trail activity below. That's the, uh, Butler bike and bike trail just there. You can see like the little mooring dock where the uh bat. Uh, tourists will take off from a lot of construction going on down here. As you can see, looks like they're doing groundwork for what will be the next high rise to go up in Austin, although it looks like the trail is open and operating just fine. And talking of high rise construction, of course, dominating that downtown skyline these days is the waterline tower there, uh, which when it tops out will be the tallest building. Uh, in the southern United States and I'm gonna get a few steps in, cross over the bridge now. I'm heading north to downtown with the rest of that skyline just coming into focus. And uh let's take a quick glance. Over the side of the bridge. See if there's any recreational lake use going on out here. Yeah, got a few paddle boarders out there, by the look of things. And that's your view now looking uh. I'm looking east along Lake Ladybird on Saturday morning.
