Downtown Austin Vibe. Bustling Congress Avenue: Austin's Urban Life and Traffic Challenges Explored

All right, what's going on y'all? This is Joshua with TruVibe, and we are on 2nd in Congress downtown Austin, Texas, and we're just checking out the vibes over here. Um, we're right across the way from the fairground and JW Marriott standing in front of Fogo Chow. And yeah, we're just walking down, uh, just gonna show you guys a little bit of the area so you guys can see what's going on, uh, and see the vibes, see the foot traffic. Um, it's pretty quiet right now. It is Sunday, so it's about 5 o'clock right before dinner time. And then, uh, yeah, across the way we've got Burger Bar, we got Cooper's Barbecue, and, uh, yeah, a couple of hotels in this area, restaurants, uh, people come by. Um, we've got street parking down here. This is a valet parking area, but, uh, then we got your angle parking, and we've got some parking lots, so. Um, Yeah, what you guys would actually do is probably just, yeah, uh, we got elephant room over there, so there's jazz, um, and then back behind us, uh, when we turn around here. Uh, we're gonna go. And uh show you guys. The, uh Way to the bridge, but yeah, the Congress Bridge is right here. We're about. Yeah, I'd say about a 10-15 minute walk to the Capitol from this location where we're at on 3rd Street. And uh yeah, a couple food trucks over here. Well, there's just one food truck, I guess, 2 food, and then there's a coffee truck. Um, but yeah, OK, uh, let's go back over there to see Taco Deli, uh, and It's a Burger Bar, one of my favorite spots out here, but also it's just, uh, lots of ways to get around here. We got some scooters and yeah. Going there, uh. But. Other than that, Uh, what I'd say you guys would actually do. A pleasant surprise. Yeah, my pleasant surprise is definitely Burger Bar because it's right over here. It's outdoor, usually pretty quick. Um, it's a great little spot. Also, yeah, the fairground, Fairground's got a food court, so we got lots of food options. Um, it's a cool place to like sit down and like just chill and uh. You know, read a book or whatever. God. Enjoy yourself. Not that cool or hot. But yeah, All right y'all, uh, so if you guys wanna stay your Congress. And 2nd Avenue downtown. Congress Avenue and 2nd Street downtown. It's just getting to rush hour. It's about 5:30 and um. Yeah, uh, so, Uh, during rush hour, if you're driving, you probably wanna avoid driving over this way down Congress because it's gonna be a little bit more backed up, especially with this little construction that's happening over here, the roadwork that they're doing, but, um, it is a main thoroughfare, so like you're gonna find, you know, something to catch your eye, uh, down, uh, if you continue down 2nd Street, you're gonna see more of the, uh, you know, shops and everything like that. There's a lot more restaurants this way, uh. Coffee shops, but good times and uh Yeah, but you're also gonna see a lot of tourists, uh, very, uh. High traffic area for people that are coming to visit. So, uh, you got this Congress Bridge that's gonna be right down there as well, so you can go watch the bats at night, um. And yeah, other than that, uh. Like I told you guys earlier about the fairground, if you go down this little ramp down here, it takes you to The Fareground. You guys can check that out, um, get food. Sit and relax, read books, chill. So, um, other than that, if you're booking here, I'd stay around, uh. I would probably stay. Around Well, the, the JW Marriot is pretty cool, but I don't know, there's not, there's not like too many. Uh, like apartments directly on this spot, but, uh, more towards like when you go in or towards town, there's um some probably like some condos or whatever they probably have, um, that they're renting out for you guys to stay, um.
