Austin Street Vibe. Exploring Austin's Guadalupe & 29th St: A Local's Perspective on Vibe and Venues

All right, what's going on y'all? This is Joshua. We are standing outside of Juice Land, one of my favorite, uh, places to go in Austin, Texas, right across from Nice Kicks on, uh, Twenty-ninth and Guadeloupe Street, and we're just showing you guys a view of the neighborhood. Just gotta check it out. Uh, see we got a lot of stuff on Guadeloupe. It's like the main trip for, uh, UT where a lot of, uh, you, a lot of venues, a lot of food, a lot of everything. We've got a logic music film lab, a record store, Poke Bowl. Yeah, so, anyways, uh, it's a good spot to come check out, uh, you know, we've got lots of bars, lots of music, uh, there's, you know, uh, Guadalupe is pretty busy on the traffic side, but, uh, twenty-ninth is a little bit slower, takes you all the way down to South Lamar over there, uh, or North Lamar actually, and, uh, yeah, and then we got, um, Counter Cafe as well. It's a little breakfast spot. So, yeah, we're gonna, um, Just, uh, go ahead and show you guys, uh, you know, the area a little bit. We're gonna go back to uh Twenty-ninth and we're just gonna talk about the area a little bit more. Peace. Once again, this is Joshua with TruVibe, and we're checking in. We are at the, standing out front of the counter cafe on Twenty-ninth in Guadaloupe. Uh, and, uh, yeah, we're. Just checking it out. So, cool thing about Guadeloupe, um, you got a lot of shops, you got a lot of venues, uh, for live music, and, uh, we got a lot of vintage stores. That's actually, uh, one of the, one of the big draws over here, uh. We got, uh, we got lofi right across the way, but there's like. About 1010 different adventure shops. They got a comic book store up the way, um. And uh yeah, just a lot of um a lot of traffic. There's a lot of college students because UT is uh campus is a little bit uh south of here and uh. Yeah, just, uh, I don't know, it's a good spot, it's a good spot. Um, if I was, uh, to stay here, uh, you know, a lot of the dorms are gonna be down here towards the, uh, west side, uh, like there's a lot of, uh, student housing and things like that, but then we also have, you know, these apartments up here, uh, this looks like the block, um. And they've got lower rates, uh, right now, rates as low as $499. Um, but yeah, other apartments and we got some apartments across the way, so lots of, lots of lodging in the area and a good place to go. Um. But yeah, if you guys haven't checked out Juice Land, I would definitely recommend kind of, kind of going to check them out. I've got the uh Best smoothies on the planet. I feel like it's really good. And uh yeah, it's another thrift store over there out of the closet, uh, it's across the way. I think Pavement is over here. Uh, Nice Kicks is a, uh, Nice Kicks is like a uh a sneaker store, so, yeah, oh yeah, Buffalo Exchange is over here as well. So if you want to trade in some stuff and then go across the street and buy more clothes, you can do that. Um, uh, but yeah. That's the view of the area.
