South Congress Vibe. Exploring the Vibrant Vibe of South Congress, Austin: Cafes, Shops, and Music

All right, what's going on everybody? This is Joshua with TruVibe, and we are checking in, uh, giving you guys another rental check. Uh, so we are on Congress, and West James. Uh, and we're gonna walk down, uh, there's a little bit of traffic this way. There's, uh, Jo's Coffee Shop right here, so we're standing right out in front of there, and, uh, yeah, it's a little bit of traffic. I'm going to, I guess we could just walk this way because it's probably the more busiest side so far. But, um Yeah, um, Show you guys Congress, one of the. Biggest streets in Austin, where lots of people go to uh. Listen to live music, uh, I've got plenty of bars, uh, lots of shopping. Uh, on South Congress as well, so, um, got tattoo shops, uh, Lucky Robot. Flushing. That's why we're gonna go the opposite way because there's a guy with a leaf blower. But anyways, uh. Yeah, we're walking up to Gibson here. And you see all the shops. Really good neighborhood. Find something to do. We got Perla over here and, uh, King Ranch, get you a cowboy hats, uh, some of these shops over here, Kendra Scott. So yeah, it's a good vibe. Uh, we're gonna walk up to Gibson here, show you guys a little bit of the, uh. Show you guys a little bit of the side streets. You guys can check that out. Um. But yeah, you guys see it, there's a lot of street parking, uh. In the area, there's parking lots, but some of them are paid parking, and then you got lots of uh like apartments and really old school homes down there, and uh Yeah, most of, most of the homes are like the houses and stuff like that, um, probably gonna be back off, cutting off in these side streets, but there's a lot of nice homes that's in this area. Um, so yeah, uh. Let's see, we're gonna walk back. We're gonna cross over here because. This uh street is literally busy, bro. So Well, that noise and that, that, uh. That noise on the uh. Lawn cutter or thing or whatever. Really loud. So anyways, uh, we'll walk back down you guys can see this. You got the Continental Club on this side. Uh, so we do lots of, uh, great live music, jazz, uh, country, everything, you know, uh. Probably one of the most historic venues out here. And Uh, a lot of these shops are just opening up now, so it just turned 10 o'clock. Um, got Warby Parker. Got a flagship store here. There's a Nike, uh, a little bit further up the way, and, uh, it's the Austin Motel. Yeah. So South, South Side tattoo. Um, but anyways, uh, We're gonna, we're gonna jump back in. I'll, I'll give you guys like a little quick recap, um, but if you wanna stay near South Congress Ave in Milton in Austin, Texas right now, this is what it feels like. All right y'all, this is Joshua. once again, back to you for TruVibe, and we are, once you're here and then just uh Give you guys a view of South Congress. And Milton Area and uh we are. Just, uh, yeah, just soaking in the sounds. I see a lot of traffic early morning, got people going to Joe's to get coffee, um, but yeah, let's talk about, um. Yeah, I mean, This is, this is the location for, you know, coming to get, uh, food. You got Amy's ice cream, uh, always a line here, uh, you got, um, Pizza spots over here, sushi spots, um. Alan Boots. Yeah, so this is a good spot and like I said, the bars earlier, Continental Club, um, we got, um, C-Boys, uh, it's gonna be further up, but that's, uh, towards the, on the right-hand side, probably about half a mile, um, and yeah, just, um, usually a lot of foot traffic, um, they got, you know, lots of vendors on the weekends, so like Saturday, uh, Saturdays or Sundays, they're doing like, uh, sidewalk vendor. and stuff like that, so people are selling, um, you know, hats and tattoos and all kinds of things. So, so it's, it's a good little vibe, um, and then, yeah, late nights you're gonna start getting your music and everything like that, you know, have street performers, uh, and just, you know, good vibes, good crowds, um. And yeah, that's Um, probably the best idea for that, and otherwise, like I told you guys earlier, you know, they do have a lot of street parking. They have, you know, some of these venues have parking lots as well, so you're trying to go. We don't, but then you also see we got the scooters on deck. It's always everywhere, good parking spots for those. Yeah, it's pretty walkable. Uh, Like everything's pretty close together, like we're really concentrated. You get, you can get to the top, probably walk the loop in, uh, about 30 minutes if you wanted to. So, um, if you're booking here, I'd definitely stay around this area. Uh, probably. Probably a little bit more to the south, a little, a little bit more south. It's gonna be a little bit more quiet, but, um, some of these, you know, some good spots over here where you probably could find a nice little place in the cut and enjoy yourself.
