Austin's Republic Square: A Bustling Hub of Activity Amidst Urban Challenges

Hey everyone, Gary from City vibe here. It's a Friday, 11:20. Um, right downtown at the inner section of uh uh 6th and uh Guadeloupe. This is Republic Square Park and of course it's also one of the transit hubs, um, for the, uh, Cap Metro City buses. You know, uh, it's the inner section of sweet and salty, um. To the right here, the park, uh, great place to. To do yoga, uh, in the evening, run your dog in the day. Of course you've got Rosen's bagels over there as well. And of course it hosts the farmers' market as well, um, on a Saturday morning, and the city do a pretty good job actually of keeping it, uh, in reasonably good shape, you know, of course, as with every, uh, urban population center, um. You know, there are folks who go through some challenging times and unfortunately this is one of the parts of Austin where it can be quite visible, as I say, the inner section of sweet and salty and all of this. Plays out right in the shadow here of the new Republic tower.
