Hey, good morning everyone, this is Gary from City Vibe. It's Tuesday morning. September 2nd, uh, 7:41 a.m. I'm starting my day off over at the state Capitol. I'm out in the north grounds of the capital. In fact, this monument sits right on the northeast corner. Of the of the Capitol grounds, and it's uh the Vietnam. Veterans Memorial. Uh, quite an imposing, um. Almost visceral piece. Um, obviously the, uh, subject matter itself is very emotive, uh, but the. The scale and the uh the the dynamic really of the characters that make up this. Monument Um, Have quite a profound effect. On the viewer So that's a 360 degree walk around. The monument which features. 5 figures all in a full battle rattle. And uh just panning back now, you can also see on the end caps of these benches here. Um Is the uh POW missing in action logo.
Gerry from City vibe here out in the Texas State Capitol grounds, right on the northeast corner, uh just capturing the sun rising up there in the east. Casting those long shadows. Uh Through those uh cedar elms and live oaks that punctuate the capital grounds. Also see the sun there reflecting off the peace officers Memorial, which sits right next to the uh Vietnam Veterans Memorial. Yeah, great way to ease into the day and a great way to start off the work week. Have a great week y'all.
