Video Transcript
Hey everyone, it's Thursday morning, June 20th, 10:13 a.m. and this is Gary over at UT. Although today I'm taking you on an off-campus excursion, we're over at the Inter Mural Fields, the Whittaker Fields, to give it its correct name. Uh, Intra Mural Fields is the off-campus recreation facility, um, for UT staff and students. Uh, it sits on Guadalupe Between 46th and 51st. It's about a mile and a half north of UT. It's really easy accessible. There's plenty of parking out here. There's also a UT shuttle bus, the 656 IF which will drop you right outside of intramural fields. The facility comprises of, uh, soccer, uh, soccer fields. It can be configured for lacrosse, for flag football. They'll even set up, uh, baseball diamonds, and there's also a large, uh, tennis complex as well on the northeast corner of the intra mural fields. Now, of course, with it being summer, the hours are somewhat limited. Um, let's take a look. Regular campus, uh, excuse me, regular semester hours, here we go. Uh, Monday to Friday, 4 till 10, uh, weekends they are open in the day, but with it being summer, I would definitely, uh, scan the barcode to view the hours. Uh, some great, um, memorabilia out here as well. Here's the original plaque, uh, back from the 1980s. Yeah, this place, uh, underwent quite a significant. Uh, face lift back in 2015 as reflected on this new plaque. So there you go, folks, that's the Whittaker Fields intra mural fields. Over here on Guadalupe between 46th and 51st.
