Austin's Skyline Glows Under a Soothing Friday Evening Sunset from Mount Bonnell

Video Transcript
Hey everyone, it's Friday evening, May 30th, 7:55 p.m. This is Gary. I'm over at the Triangle, uh, which is a mixed use development, uh, off of Lamar just north of Forty-fifth. There's Hop Doddy’s down there. Yeah, there's some cool restaurants and bars and, uh, condominiums here as well. And it's one of my favorite places to take in the sunset on a clear evening. Now, unfortunately, uh, it's kind of cloudy so it's a little bit underwhelming, but the rooftop of this parking garage here gives a great panoramic view of the city. So this is looking to the north, quite sort of suburban and gray and then panning round to the west we can just see the setting sun there and the clouds. Uh, but the real magic happens just up this little half deck here as we look to the south, we get a beautiful view of the Austin skyline coming into focus. There she is. Uh, you can just make out the signature buildings in the skyline, of course, the Waterline tower now dominates that skyline, but you can make out the uh UT Tower and the Independent the Jenga building. And panning back around here to the west, you see a little bit of color there in the clouds. In fact, we look down onto uh part of the uh. Texas school For the blind, I believe, and then there is the uh Senior living facility as well here. And there it is, my favorite place to watch a sunset In Austin, Texas. Hey y'all, Friday evening. May 30th, 8:04pm and that’s a wrap for another day in the ATX there's the sun just setting down to the west, and I'm up on the rooftop of the parking garage. Uh, at the triangle, and I have it all to myself. Not even a pigeon up here to share it with. Which is quite unusual. It's Used to be one of the best kept secrets, but it's catching on a little bit now, so you'll often see folks out here watching the sunset. It's also a great place uh to watch fireworks. On New Year's Eve. But for now I've got it all to myself. One last 360 degree pan around and I'm going to leave you with a view of the Austin skyline off there in the distance.
