Shipe Pool Reopens. Shipe Park Pool Reopens After Extended Closures, Welcoming Visitors From June 7th

Hey everyone, Wednesday morning, June 4th, it's 8:35 a.m. This is Gary. I'm out in the Hyde Park neighborhood by Shipe Park.Shipe Park sits between 44th and 45th Avenue G and Speedway. I have some exciting news about Shipe Park Pool. Let's go take a look at it. Yeah, the pool has had extended periods of closure over the last 10 years. Various funding issues and maintenance issues, but the good news is Shipe pool opens for its summer season this weekend, it will be Saturday. May, excuse me, Saturday, June 7th. Uh, it will be open through August 17th, so June 7th through August 17th, Monday through Friday. Uh, it's open 8 a.m. till 8 p.m. Weekends it opens a little bit later, it's open at 11 a.m. Till 8 p.m. it is closed on Wednesdays for cleaning and maintenance. And there she is in all her glory. Looks like it just needs one more. clean up before the opening, which once again is this Saturday, June 7th, 11 a.m. over here at beautiful Shipe Park.
