Austin Trails See Light Morning Use Following Holiday Weekend
Hey, good morning everyone. This is Gary for City Vibe, out on the Butler Hike and bike trail, right in the shadow here of the Congress Avenue Bridge. It's Tuesday morning, September 2nd, uh, 8 a.m. And a cooler start to the work week. Uh, cooler start to the month. I'm expecting to see some good activity levels out here on the hike and bike trail. Uh, this weekend was a 3 day weekend with Labor Day. I'm sure folks were enjoying some family time, maybe cooking out. And uh maybe today's the day they choose to burn off those extra calories out here on the Butler hike and by trail. Yeah, good uh good showing of runners and walkers and. Even our four legged friends out here. What a great view, guys. Look at the sun just reflecting there off the downtown skyline. And here's a quick pan around, just take a look at the lake. Uh, not too much activity on the lake yet, uh, but the day is still young.

Uh, overall, a cooler start of the month. It's a Tuesday, September 2nd, just coming off the back of a 3 day weekend. Uh, little rain as well, uh, Friday through Saturday. Uh, cool things right off. Um, I was expecting to see more uh trail users this morning. I thought there'd be folks out here. Burning off the extra calories that they consumed. Uh, during various Labour Day social events, uh, you know, just a handful of sort of lone wolf runners out here enjoying this cool start to the week, this cool start to the month. Hope everyone has a great week y’all
