Quiet Morning Domain. Quiet Morning at Austin's Rock Rose as Friday Kicks Off Weekends

Hey y'all, it's Friday morning, 10:36 a.m. uh, Friday, March 28th. This is Gary checking in from the Domain North side. Um, I'm outside the Museum of Ice Cream. Uh, this is adjacent to, uh, what would be the Westerly parking lot at the Domain. In fact, you can just make out uh Mopac through the trees there running smoothly. Yeah, this parking lots about 80% capacity at the moment. Uh, it's a rainy Friday at the Domain, so it's kind of put a damper on the retail and restaurant experience for now, but this is the little courtyard, museum of ice cream, a true food kitchen, uh, you've got Cru down there on the corner. And, uh, little kids playscape. This will be a hive of activity 24 hours from now. It's a favorite spot on the weekend for families with kids. That's your view from the Domain. Hey y'all, it's Friday morning, 10:55 a.m. March 28th. This is Gary checking in from the domain north side. I'm at the intersection of Rock Rose and Esperanza. This is kind of the top end of Rock Rose, which is, uh, essentially the, the food and uh beer district of the Domain, uh, midmorning on a rainy Friday, it's fairly quiet as you can see, but, uh, yeah, we're looking at um the Lavaca Street bar down there. Uh, we've also got um the Irish bar, Jack and Gingers and, uh, yeah, across the street there is a Salvation Pizza. And uh the velvet taco. That's looking across at Cherry Sage, as you can see, vehicle traffic and pedestrian traffic, very light on an overcast Friday morning from the Domain and north side. Hey y'all, Friday morning, March 28th. It's 11:02 a.m. This is Gary checking in from the Domain north side, um, right outside of uh Jack and Ginger's Irish bar. This is the Rock Rose, the booze and food district of the domain. Just taking a look at the availability of the curbside parking here. Uh, they are to go, uh, spots, 15 minutes max. They also become valet parking at 4 p.m. Uh, there's a few of them open right now. You can see there's a little bit of vehicle traffic out here, pedestrian traffic very slow. Uh, yeah, 11 a.m. on an overcast Friday morning, uh, not too much going on, on the Rock Rose.
