Video Transcript
Hey y'all, this is Gary checking in from, uh, South Congress Avenue, the iconic SoCo Austin, Texas, 78704. I'm at the intersection of South Congress Avenue and Monroe, and I'm outside of Allen’s boots. It's Saint Patrick's Day. It's Monday 12:41 p.m. March 17th. It's the, the day after the end of, uh, South by Southwest. Still see some of the signage up on the lampposts. And Soco is still quite busy. I think folks stay in town for a couple of days after the festival, and this would definitely be one of the parts of Austin they would come to. Uh, parking is tight. All of the street side parking spaces are taken at the moment. Side streets are also looking pretty tight. Side streets are also uh, there we go, you can see, yeah, parking deep down into Monroe. Just caught a waft of uh leather from the open door of Allen’s boots and smells really nice. So that's the view from South Congress Avenue on uh Monday afternoon, Saint Patrick's Day.
Hey y'all, this is Gary. I'm on South Congress Avenue. It's Saint Patrick's Day on Monday, 12:47, that's March 17th, and I'm just strolling past Allen’s boots, uh, heading north, uh, down towards, uh, Joe's coffee and taking a look at the street side parking here. Yeah As you can see, all of these parking spaces. are currently taken. Yeah, quite a busy Monday, uh, Monday lunchtime on South Congress. Just looking at the vantage point of the the city skyline from here and you can see the new tallest building, uh, the Waterline up there which is really quite imposing over the skyline. Yeah, so I'm inclined to think we've got some folks who've stayed in town for a couple of days after South by enjoying this beautiful Saint Patrick's Day in Austin, Texas.
