Austin's Lady Bird Lake Trails See Steady Saturday Morning Activity Despite Rising Temperatures

Video Transcript
Hey everyone, it's Saturday morning, June 21st. Uh, this is Gary. I'm at the intersection of, uh, Seaholme and Cesar Chavez. This is that weird little pagoda thing that sits right by the crosswalk, uh, just in the shadow of the railroad bridge. Just taking a look at the, uh, recreational activities that are going on the trail right now. I think probably an hour ago it was a lot busier. It's already getting up there in temperature. Um, yeah, the sun's already burnt off the morning mist, but still a few hardy folks out here. It's only 9:06 a.m. Uh, we've got a good mixture here of runners, walkers, dog walkers. And uh, yeah, a few cyclists as well. Just off there in the distance you can actually see the Seaholm Inlet station, which the Trail Foundation actually are trying to make a part of the trail. I know they've been fundraising for that initiative, but yeah, that's now the view looking up the sidewalk along Cesar Chavez, um. With the uh library in the background and the sun just getting up there in the east. Hey y'all, Saturday morning. It's Gary. I'm out on the trail, uh, right across, uh, from Seaholm on Cesar Chavez. Just taking a look at the, uh, recreational activity levels out here. As you can see now looking east, um, yeah, we got a good mixture of walkers and runners. Uh, sun's already, uh, sun's already getting up there and it's. Uh, kind of a humid day. Uh, let's just take a little walk, take in the sights and the sounds. The crunch of the gravel beneath your feet. I got the lake there off to the left and of course we're just, uh, coming underneath that, uh, iconic railroad bridge now, uh, which just sits next to Seaholm. Yeah a few dog walkers. Well, I think I can see a dog in a buggy here, one of my favorite things. Yeah, dog and a buggy coming up. Right here. There you are. And that's your view, uh, from the town Lake Trail, just adjacent to uh Cesar Chavez right underneath the railroad bridge.
