Hey y'all. Happy Juneteenth. It's Thursday, June 19th, 10:53 a.m. This is Gary. I'm out on the drag and I'm about to head inside one of my favorite, uh, people watching venues in the city. This is Cathy Medici. Let's go on in and take a look. Now usually this place is absolutely packed when school is in, but of course it's the summer months. It's a lot quieter. And let's take a look upstairs. This is why we're really here. Uh, fun fact, this coffee shop was actually used as a movie location for a Kevin Spacey movie called The Life of David Gale, shot in the early 2000s, I think. It was quite a pivotal scene shot in here. Spoiler alert, um, but I'm not mistaken, I think Kevin Spacey who sat in this table kind of looking down over the balcony. uh, but what I'm really here to show you are these amazing window seats which give a great view out onto the drag. And like for a perfect. People watching space. There we go. I can just see out Guadalupe and 22nd there.
Hey y'all, this is Gary. I'm upstairs at Cafe Medici. It's located on Guadalupe at 22nd. Uh, it's a beautiful place for people watching, uh, not only inside, this place is usually packed during. The school semester, we've got a great view down. Below, but what I'm here for is the view from this window. This is prime real estate here and I'm gonna make the most of it. You can look out from the air conditioned comfort of Cafe Medici to the traffic on the drag below and there's the UT Tower.
