Colorful Cowboy Statue Brightens Austin's Morning at 8th and Colorado

Hey, good morning everyone. This is Gary from City Vibe. Just easing into the day. With a little color therapy. I'm out at the inner section of 8th and Colorado, next to one of my favorite uh art installations. This piece is called the Tracking the End of the Rainbow. And it features Uh, this Incredibly exaggerated and colorful rendition. Of a horseman and he is tracking. Uh Well, let me show you what he's tracking. The footprints here show us that he's tracking a lost steer. These footprints take us all the way to the inner section of 8th and Colorado, um. I was here recently and a tour group came through and the tour guide referred to this piece as the cosmic cowboy and uh I love it even more now, so. Hope everyone's having a great week. Gary from City Vibe easing into the day, next to the cosmic cowboy on the corner of Colorado on 8th. Hey everyone, Gary from City vibe here. It's a Wednesday morning. September 4th. It's 8:33, and one of the things I love about viewing this statue, this sculpture, while the sun is low in the sky, particularly as it's riding, rising in the east, is the tail of this horse is actually made from pieces of stained glass, and if you catch the sun just at the right angle, let me try and do it for you. Uh, you can see it break through, there it is. You can see it break through the stained glass and creates beautiful patterns and reflections on the sidewalk next to it. We're outside the municipal building and anyone who knows Austin history will remember that this this building used to be City Hall, a great time to visit in the early hours. Of a new day Hope everyone has a great week.
