UT Morning Calm. Quiet Morning at University of Texas with Sparse Traffic

Hey y'all, it's Gary checking in from the University of Texas. It's a Sunday morning 9:26 a.m. It is March 23rd. I'm on the very south end of the Drag. I'm just across from the Dobie Mall, and I'm right outside of Saint Austin's Catholic Church. And just taking a look at the parking set up out here. So, um, we've got uh several open curbside parking spots, but I noticed that with mass going on this morning at Saint Austin's, they do actually have them signed off as a drop off and pickup points for parishioners going to Saint Austin's. Looks like uh. We've got the 8:45 mass going on now, and then there'll be a break until 11:30 a.m. Mass. And I'm walking north now. Up the Drag And he's a Look at the front of Saint Austin's. And you can see just how quiet it is on the Drag this morning. Vehicle traffic very light. Almost zero pedestrian traffic right now. So that's your view from the south end of the Drag. Sunday morning, March 23rd. Hey y'all, it's Gary checking in from University of Texas, Guadalupe and 21st Street. It's Sunday morning, uh, 9:30 a.m. It's March 23rd, walking north up the Drag now, uh, with Saint Austin's Catholic Church behind me. And uh Yeah, heading towards uh the main part of the drag, um, just wanted to take a look at this intersection of Guadalupe and 21st This is typically quite a pinch point on campus. Um, it's the last day of spring break and we'll be seeing campus repopulate over the next 24 hours. And this particular stretch of 21 is where a lot of the out of town buses drop off. And so it's quite a busy spot usually. I noticed that the uh, construction that was going on outside of the In front of the Daniel Johnson Memorial, uh, the Daniel Johnson mural, excuse me, uh, has been completed. So yeah, the west side of this intersection is flowing freely again in both directions. But as you can see behind me, uh, the main construction that's going on on 21st and with Whitis yeah, is still in progress, so. That's your view from uh West Campus on Sunday morning 9:30 a.m. March 23rd.
