Organic Market Day. Local Farmers' Market Offers Organic Produce and Double Benefits for SNAP/WIC Users

Hey, good morning, everyone. It's, uh, Saturday, July 12th, 9:13 a.m. This is Gary reporting for City vibe from the downtown Farmers' Market. And, uh, before we head in, let me give you some updates on construction and traffic out here. So the good news is that the Republic Tower that sits just on the south side of 4th Street, um, is really down to just finishing touches, so. Uh, construction disruption is negligible. I also noticed that this section of 4th Street, uh, between San Antonio and Guadalupe over there is actually closed for vehicle traffic, so it really makes for a much more pedestrian friendly experience down here. Now, the market was actually closed last week due to due to those heavy rains we had, uh, but we are back in full bloom today. I've just been chatting to some of the regular vendors here and they want to remind everyone that they are closing at 12 noon for the next couple of months, so. Downtown Farmers' Market. Opens at 9 and closes at 12 noon.
