Lucy's Vibe. Sunny Day at Lucy's Chicken on South Congress

Hey y'all, Thursday lunchtime, uh, April 10th, it's 12:07 p.m. This is Gary checking in from South Congress Avenue. I'm outside of Lucy's, the self-proclaimed rock and roll fried chicken joint. That's near the intersection of South Congress and College. And although this place is a relatively new addition to the city, it does have an old Austin vibe about it. So near yet so far out. Hard to believe that just one block further south uh is Oltorf and the HEB. Hey y'all, Thursday lunchtime out on South Congress. This is Gary checking in, just crossing over, uh, College Avenue now, leaving the Lucy’s behind me. Just taking a look at where we are on Soco. Uh, you've got the River City Market across the street, also the Cosmic cowboy, uh, smoke shop. This gives you a feel for how busy South Congress is right now. A couple of city buses there, and as we look, uh, north, that beautiful Austin downtown skyline.
