Campus Buzz Returns. UT Campus Gears Up for New Semester: Students Arrive Ahead of Classes Amid Recruitment Events

Hey everyone, it's Gary for City vibe. Out on the drag. This is the main crosswalk that takes us over to the West Mall. It is, uh, Wednesday lunchtime, August 20th, and move-in day, move in weekend is just 72 hours away. Uh, campus is already starting to fill up though, as you can see. Typically international students will arrive a few days early. It's also a Panhellenic week. Um, that's when fraternities and sororities begin their recruitment process, and the students who participate in Greek life, uh, pick out the, uh, uh, fraternity or sorority that they're going to join, uh, for this year. So campus is starting to feel like itself again. Uh, classes start in earnest on August 25th. And this West Mall here will be an absolute sea of humanity again. So really just enjoying the last few days. Of uh relative tranquility out here.
