Exploring Austin's Iconic Little Stacey Park: A quiet day under vibrant art installations
Aloha everybody. Mr. G here. I'm at one of the most famous parks in Austin. This is the Little Stacey Park. There's the big Stacey Park and the Little Stacey Park. This is the Little Stacey Park, and this is a famous mural right here, a famous uh famous sculpture, and it was done by James Edward Talbot. It's called the Magic. And this is a really Austin type park. It's in the Travis Heights neighborhood, one of the oldest neighborhoods in Austin, the oldest neighborhood south of, uh, south of the river is Travis Heights. And this park, it's not that busy. There's hardly anybody here, but it's one of the most famous parts. If you know Austin, you know the little Stacey part.
Mr. G here at Little Stacey Park, going through the magic portal and um right now it's August 1st, a lot of kids are getting ready for school. Summer is wearing down and it's still really hot out, but there's actually nobody here right now. It's August 1st, 11:17, so it's almost the hottest part of the day. But this is one of. Favorite parts in Austin because not many people know about it. It's hidden in the Travis Heights neighborhood and as you can see, it's not very busy. You have a basketball court to yourself, water fountain available right there, and bathrooms that are actually open too. Little Stacey Park, it's a hidden gym in Austin in Travis Heights, my favorite neighborhood in Austin, one of my favorites.
