Austin Rain Scene. Rain Dampens Austin Streets as Pedestrians Seek Cover at Key Intersection

Hey y'all, Saturday morning, April 5th, it's 9:24 a.m. This is Gary checking in from the University of Texas. I'm at the intersection of Guadalupe and 24th, taking shelter underneath the awning of the CVS, uh, because it's raining out here. Hey y'all, this is Gary out on the Drag Saturday morning. We do see, um, a little uptick in pedestrian traffic Saturday mornings out here. Uh, the Methodist Church has a food bank which helps uh our friends in Austin's unhoused community. um, vehicle traffic on the Drag seems to be moving pretty smoothly on these wet roads. Uh, that's the view through the intersection looking south down the Drag.
