Austin Event Canceled. July 4th Celebration in Austin Canceled Due to Severe Weather and Flood Risks

Hey everyone. July 4th, Friday afternoon, 4:20, and this is Gary with City Vibe over at Auditorium Shores. Uh, unfortunately with some disappointing news, as of about an hour ago, uh, the city of Austin, along with the Austin Symphony Orchestra announced that tonight's Star Spangled celebration, that's the July 4th celebration out here, unfortunately has been canceled. This is due to water logged ground conditions and other weather related safety concerns. Uh, although ironically, the sun has started to break through here, western parts of Travis County are still under a flash flood alert. Yeah, it's kind of sad seeing despondent crew guys have been grinding away in inclement weather for hours to get this ready, and they're out here now packing up their gear. So once again tonight, Star Spangled celebration, the July 4th party out here at Auditorium Shores. Music and fireworks unfortunately has been canceled.
