Hey everyone, it's Thursday morning, June 26th, 8:02 a.m. This is Gary. I'm over. In the Shoal Creek green belt, the Shoal Creek Trail, uh, right by the trailhead at 29th and Lamar. The closest mile marker is uh mile marker 2.5. Which means we're 2.5 miles north of the intersection of Shoal Creek. And uh Town Lake. This, um, this little cement bridge here that crosses. Shoal Creek is actually called the Janet Fish Bridge. Janet Fish was one of the driving forces behind making this network of trails. Uh, accessible in the 1950s. In fact, she's acknowledged as being the first person to coin the phrase hike and bike trails, and, uh, it's a model that would go on to be used by other green spaces. Both in the state of Texas and uh nationwide, in fact. And it's just one of my favorite spots. Just to ease into the day. You have a blessed Thursday, y'all.
