BBQ Line Buzz. Throngs Gather at Austin's La Barbecue as Early Birds Beat the Weekend Rush

Saturday, May 3rd, 2025, 1054. I'm at uh La Barbecue and the line, I've seen it a lot longer before. It goes about halfway down the street right now. At 10:55 on Saturday, so not as long as it sometimes is, and uh they haven't been uh seating people. There's a lot of open seats in there, so I guess these are the early birds waiting to get inside. You're not gonna get any parking at Franklin Barbecue, so you're gonna have to park at La Barbecue, you're not gonna get any parking at La Barbecue, so you're gonna have to park somewhere on the street. I'm at La Barbecue on Cesar Chavez on May 3rd, 10:57, so they're just about to start serving. Uh, nobody's eating barbecue right now, so, uh, everybody's just waiting. These are what you would call the early birds. Uh, they get here early, uh, so the line goes about halfway down the street.
