Event Cleanup Disrupts Iconic Photo Spot at UT Austin

Video Transcript
Hey y'all, Sunday morning, March 30th. It's 9:26 a.m. I'm standing on the University Main Mall. Uh, this is Inner Campus Drive. And the UT Tower main concourse is currently, uh, closed down. Um, there was an event here last night and they're still packing away the staging. Uh, so there's no pedestrian access to the main mall, probably for the next 2 or 3 hours. It's been quite a spoiler. A lot of folks come out here to take graduation pics or even quinceanera pics on a Sunday morning. Uh, I'm standing with my back to the George Washington sculpture, and you can see a beautiful view down the main mall across the back of the Littlefield fountains to the state Capitol building off in the distance, that's an alternate backdrop. I've noticed more people gathering around the Littlefield fountain to take their photos this morning while the main mall is closed. Hey y'all, Sunday morning, March 30th. I'm on the uh university main mall, uh. I'm standing on the back of the Littlefield fountain right now and you can see across 21st Street, um, to the construction that's ongoing, uh, between the intersections of University Ave and Whitis Ave on 21st Street. Uh, with the main, uh, with the main concourse being closed down at the base of the tower, a lot of folks are getting their graduation picks in, uh, at this alternate backdrop, which is just as beautiful. And that's your view from the University of Texas Sunday morning, March 30th.
