Campus Kickoff Scenes. UT Austin Bustles with Activity as New Semester Begins: Student Organizations Reach Out on Speedway Mall

Hey everyone, Gary from City vibe here over on the 40 acres. I'm out on the West Mall. It is, uh, Thursday morning, August 28th, 10:10 a.m. That means we are deep into week one of classes. Uh, people starting to find their way around a little better now, definitely fewer lost, confused looking freshmen than there was at the start of the week. Uh, a little bit of tabling going on here on the West Mall. Uh, this is when various student organizations set up tables and introduce themselves to. The new freshman class. Most of the tabling actually goes on on the yellow brick road. That's the Speedway Mall, uh, which is an absolute sea of humanity right now.
