Torchy’s Reopens. Torchy’s Tacos Reopens on South Congress After Extensive Renovations

Hey everyone, it's Friday morning, July 18th, 10:28 a.m. and this is Gary for City vibe out on South Congress Avenue. Uh, taco lovers tap in. Have I got some great news For you! Now, a couple of weeks ago we reported that this taco, uh, this, um, Torchy’s taco location was actually closed for quite an extensive remodel. Uh, the nature of the remodel was actually reconfiguring this outdoor patio. There had previously been a bar here underneath these TVs, um, but the restaurant can't sell alcohol because of its proximity to the school just across the street. So, uh, the bar was taken out, some soft furnishings have been put in. Uh, they enhanced the beverage station inside as well and uh. I'm just gonna pinch myself to make sure I'm not dreaming, and let's go inside and take a quick look. Looks like they're promoting the Broski bowl right now. And yes, y'all, it is true. Yeah Back in Torchy’s. Let's just soak it in. Yeah, Torchy’s has been one of my favorite Austin brands for years. I was heartbroken when the, the one on the drag closed down. So now folks, uh, you can enjoy all your Torchy’s taco favorites again at the, uh, newly remodeled. Torchy’s on South Congress Avenue.
