Morning Activity Peaks: Austin's Running Trails Buzz with Walkers and Joggers on a Breezy Day

Hey, good morning, everyone. This is Gary from City Vibe. uh Wednesday morning, July 30th, 10:15 a.m. I'm out on the, uh, Butler Hike and Bike Trail right underneath the Congress Avenue bridge on the north side of Lake Ladybird. And although there's a bit of a lull in the traffic right now, I notice that the trail has stayed busier for longer this morning. Uh, the humidity is definitely lower. This time yesterday I was absolutely sweating buckets, um, but although the, the temperature's still the same, we're already in the low 80s, folks. Uh, with this lower humidity, it feels much more comfortable. Uh, still plenty of people out here. I saw a lot of bicycles actually this morning. Um, the, uh, the serious runners, the run clubs have usually wrapped up a couple of hours ago, but you've still got recreational walkers like myself, cup of coffee in hand, or, uh, maybe just out walking the dog. Um, and this is us now, I'm taking you, uh, west. In the general direction of the Lamar pedestrian bridge, that beautiful downtown skyline just coming into shot. I hope everybody has a great hump day. Hey, good morning everyone, it's Wednesday morning, July 30th, 10:18 a.m. Gary for city vibe, just enjoying a stroll. West along the Butler Hike and bike trail.
