Zilker Tranquility. Morning Serenity Amidst Austin's Iconic Park and Landmark Architecture

Hey, good morning, everyone. Happy Friday, we made it. It's Friday morning, uh, August 1st, 9:43 a.m. This is Gary with City Vibe. just easing into my day, easing into. The first of August at the little footbridge that crosses Shoal Creek, uh, right as it enters. Ladybird Lake bustling with activity this morning. I always stop and ponder this elaborately decorated power pole here. Uh, it has kind of a Doctor Seuss. vibe about it. Is this a cat in a hat? No, it's Gary, the city vibe spotter. The other curious thing about this little area here is the uh artwork on this retaining wall. There's a very, uh, Kind of arts and craftsy vibe to it. The mosaic on the top. And then these decorated hearts. that protrude. Off the wall kind of makes a, a sort of tactile experience to it. I've always wondered if the, the two things are tied together, if this is two halves of one art installation, but Maybe that's a question for another day. Hope everyone enjoys their Friday. Uh, officially known as Block 185 actually. Uh, busy morning out here guys. There's a slight slight cooling breeze which I think is keeping the humidity tamped down for now, although as the sun is getting higher in the sky, um. The traffic is starting to die down. So I think we've probably had the best of the day already. Uh, we're into August now, folks. I think it's gonna be a scorcher.
