Tranquil Mornings by Austin's Lady Bird Lake: A Serene Retreat Amidst the Bustle

Hey, good morning everyone. It's uh Gary from City Vibe. Monday morning, July 21st, 7:43 a.m. I'm out on the, uh, south side of Lady Bird Lake, uh, just easing into the day with, uh, Stevie Ray Vaughan here. Been thinking a lot about SRV uh recently standing here, uh, next to this swollen body of water. Um, Stevie's, uh, first album with his band, Double Trouble, um, was actually called Texas Flood. And uh That's a fact that's been rattling around, um. In my head, the last couple of weeks since the devastating floods. Uh, that swept through the Texas hill country, uh, back on July 4th weekend. Uh, just kind of hits differently. Um, that being said, this is still one of my favorite places to visit and, uh, if you want to come out and hang with Stevie, uh, these days he lives about 100 yards west of mile marker 0 on the hike and bike trail. And uh he's directly across the lake opposite the sailboat tower or block 185 to give it its formal name. Hey, you have a great week y'all.
