Morning Hustle: Austin’s Trails Show Moderate Activity Amid Event Cleanup

Hey, good morning everyone. It's Monday morning. July 21st, 7:38 a.m. And this is Gary from City Vibe, bringing you your morning movement meter. Uh, I'm on the hike and bike trail, uh, real close to the South First Street Bridge, uh, and the little workout area, close to mile marker 0. trail activity is pretty moderate here, uh, but just a heads up, folks that. The MLS Fanfest, which took place at Auditorium shores the last couple of days, uh, is wrapping up now, um, as you can see and probably hear, uh, there's going to be a lot of equipment moving around. Actually, uh, the majority of it, of course, is going to be on the grass of auditorium shores, and they've done a pretty good job of keeping the trail open. For recreational users, but it's just something to be cognizant of if you're close to mile marker 0 here and a little workout area that you may encounter the occasional forklift or little side by side, as is the case there. It's uh, it's a cool morning kind of overcast. Uh, humidity is quite low as well. Plenty of folks out here getting their morning exercise in. A little power walking, some running, some stretching at the workout area, uh, just close to mile marker zero. just a heads up, guys at MLS Fanfest is loading out today, and although they do a pretty good job of keeping it, uh, off the trail, uh, keeping the trail open for recreational users, uh, just be cognizant that you may encounter. A forklift truck or a side by side as they move all of this equipment off the trail.
