Hey y'all, it's Gary checking in from Rainey Street. Uh, it's Sunday afternoon, 3:16 p.m. and, uh, coincidentally, it's also March 16th. Uh, metaphorically, the sun has set on another south by southwest, and I'm out here checking out the Sunday fun day vibes. As you can see, I'm close to the intersection of Rainey and King Street. Uh, excuse me, that's Rainey and River Street, and just behind me, the Mexican American Cultural Center and also the fabulously named, uh, Tipsy Alchemist bar. behind me. Sunday fun is starting to take shape out here. I think folks are dusting off the hangovers of last night and starting to Fill up the patios of the bars on Rainy Street, uh, no real congestion, um, light pedestrian traffic at the moment, so that's the view from Rainy Street on Sunday afternoon. Hey y'all, it's uh Gary on Rainey Street. Sunday afternoon, 3:20, March 16th. I'm now walking north up Rainy Street, uh, towards downtown Austin. Sunday fun day is starting to, to warm up. Let's see what we've got here, Stay Put bar. It's all looking quite mellow. Just walking up now towards uh Bangers, I notice the outside market at Bangers is hopping today. It seems to be a mixture of folks who are getting in one last, Beverage before leaving town after South by Southwest, and locals who are making the city their own again after a hectic South by Southwest two weeks. So here's the Half Step and uh you can gauge the amount of pedestrian traffic out here, starting to pick up vehicle traffic, real light, so that's the view from Rainy Street on Sunday afternoon.
