Crowds Gather on Congress Avenue for La La Land Cafe's Grand Opening Weekend

Hey y'all, it's Sunday morning, uh, July 6th. It's about 11:35 a.m. This is Gary. I'm out on South Congress Avenue. Rain has finally stopped, the sun has come out to play, and I'm outside of La La Land on their opening weekend. La La Land has a corporate vision that I think almost everyone can get behind. Uh, they, they aim to be a catalyst for more compassionate communities. Also the La La Land Foundation which is a nonprofit associated with the cafes, does great work advocating for at risk youth, especially Uh, young people who've aged out of the foster care system, I think other people. And boy are there plenty of other people today, as you can see the line stretches down to Gibson. I think other people are just drawn to the aesthetic, which is 100% dialed in, the furnishings, the decor, the drink containers, all complement one another to give a gauzy, dreamlike feel, hence the name La La Land, I guess. And one of the nice touches that the uh baristas bid you farewell by saying goodbye, I love you. How sweet is that.
