Spring Break Leads to Quiet Streets at University of Texas
Video Transcript
Hey y'all, this is Gary checking in from the University of Texas. It's Tuesday morning, March 18th, and it is uh 10:08. And I'm outside of the Co-op as you can see behind me, just across from the West Mall. And there you can see the clock tower. Uh, on any given weekday morning, of course, this intersection would be a sea of humanity, but of course it is spring break this week, so, uh, pedestrian traffic is really, really light and vehicle traffic is moving quite well along the drag. I even noticed that there are um some street side parking spaces available. I take a look heading south down the drag, you can see there's a few spaces open behind me, which is uh very unusual this close to the heart of campus. So that's your view from the drag at University of Texas on Tuesday morning.
Hey y'all, it's Gary checking in from the drag, University of Texas, Tuesday morning, March 18th, and it's uh 10:12 a.m. I'm walking south down the drag with the university co op behind me, just highlighting how light vehicle traffic and pedestrian traffic is this morning. As you can see, that main intersection across from the West Mall is completely devoid of pedestrian traffic this morning. And I wanted to highlight the availability of parking. As you can see, there are even a few open street side spaces outside of Chipotle and uh close to Medici, the coffee shop. So here's a view looking south down the drag. So quite a chill Tuesday morning at the University of Texas.
