Calm Morning on Pfluger Bridge: Sparse Foot Traffic Precedes MLS Event with Iconic Austin Skyline in View
Hey, good morning, everyone. It's Wednesday morning, July 23rd, 9:22 a.m. Uh, this is Gary for City vibe, uh, squinting into the sun on the, uh, Pfluger pedestrian Bridge and uh happy MLS All Star game y'all. Uh, of course today at Q2 Stadium in North Austin is the MLS All-Star game. Uh, I wondered if I'd see anybody out here, uh, wearing the black and Verde, the Austin FC or other MLS paraphernalia, but I'm not seeing it yet. Uh, bridge is kind of quiet. This is the sort of a lull, uh, after the run clubs and the pre-work, uh, exercises have finished. And then we'll just have the usual light footfall throughout the day, people out walking their dogs, maybe taking a break from the office. Couple of good looking pups out here. And this is your view now just looking south in the direction of the long center. There's the railroad bridge and there's that beautiful Austin skyline, sun rising in the east. The uh sailboat building there and of course, soon to be the highest building in Texas, the Waterline tower.
Hey everyone, Gary from City vibe on th Pluger Ped bridge, Wednesday morning. MLS All Star game day. Uh, looking, uh, west out along Town Lake or Lake Ladybird if you prefer. Uh, actually I don't see any recreational lake users looking to the left there. Uh, one guy, uh, in a bucket truck looks like he's actually… talking of MLS, I think this guy in the bucket truck actually is putting up MLS branding on the, on the lamp poles over there. Now let's swing over to the uh view over the east. And I do see a couple of lone paddle boarders looking east, uh, out in the general direction of the rowing dock. So quiet day on the bridge, quiet day on the water. Uh, happy hump day y'all.
