SoCo Buzzing. South Congress Avenue Bustling with Life During First Friday Festivities

It's May 3rd Saturday, 7:22. I'm in the Soo South Congress neighborhood at the Circle in James, uh, right by the I Love You So Much mural, the famous mural, and it is, uh, very busy here on South Congress. You have live music at Joe's, uh, people everywhere. Uh, people camped out on the ground, traffic congestion, uh, the whole works, uh, this is what they call first Friday, uh, line up at the Continental Club. Uh, people have all their, uh, uh, trucks and classic cars. And uh it's a big uh celebration every first Friday I believe here at SoCo South Congress. I'm at South Congress in Gibson right now and uh like I said, it's just packed every restaurant, every bar, everywhere is busy. May 3rd, 2025, 728 South Congress neighborhood Soco at South Congress in Gibson. Uh, it's very busy, uh, a lot going on out here, a lot of, uh, street vendors. This is an art vendor at South Congress and Gibson. Uh, lots of traffic, very congestion, congested, uh, high pedestrian traffic, lots of car traffic. Lots of people out with their families, lots of classic cars. Uh, this is what they would call the first Friday. I And it's one of the busiest places in Austin on Friday afternoon. Right out here outside the Continental Club, uh, where there's a, a line to get in, standing room only at the Continental Club. Just a busy fun time out here with all the cars, and all the people, and just a lot happening in South Congress neighborhood. May 3rd, 2025, 7:30. I'm at the South Congress neighborhood at the I Love You So Much sign, uh, at South Congress and James in front of Joe's Coffee, and there's not a line at Joe's, but they have a live music there. Yeah, it's very packed lots of. Excuse me. The sidewalks are all packed with people, high congestion. That's first Friday in SoCo neighborhoods. You have all the classic trucks and classic cars out here lining the street. And as I, uh, come up to the cove and at Gibson Street, you have a a real popular restaurant here, Ela's, uh, where they have the patio which is, uh, packed with people inside and outside. Uh, so a fun time in the South Congress Travis Heights neighborhood.
