University Traffic Disruption. Traffic Delays Loom as University Area Undergoes Extensive Road Repainting Project

Everyone, Thursday lunchtime, April 14th, a little after 12:30. This is Gary for City vibe, uh, just squinting into the sun out on the Drag, just right across here from the West Mall standing in front of the university co op. Just taking a look at the traffic disruption, uh, that this, uh, repainting project has spun off. This time of year. Uh, right before school restarts, we'll see these letters here in the crosswalk that spell out T-E-X-A-S They'll be power washed and repainted, usually done in two phases, so it looks like the, the half of the letters that sit on the northbound side have been washed and repainted, and now these cones and this road furniture has moved on to the southbound side now. Looks like it's been power washed. Uh, so my guess is they will probably repaint tonight and then we can put this hot mess behind us.
