Quiet Morning on The Drag: Sparse Traffic outside Cafe Medici

Video Transcript
Hey y'all, it's Gary checking in from the University of Texas. It's, uh, Sunday morning 9:37 a.m. It's March 23rd. I'm on the drag outside of Cafe Medici, close to the intersection of Guadalupe and 22nd. This is one of the most popular study spots, um, when school is in. Um It's also, uh, it was also used as a location in quite a large movie shoot in 2003, a Kevin Spacey movie called The Life of David Gale was shot on campus and Medici was used to shoot one of the key scenes in that movie. So that's another thing that brings folks here. Uh, they've been on reduced hours, I noticed during spring break, uh, 7 a.m. till 5 pm but uh, yeah, when school is in those hours are expanded. In 24 hours time when class starts again you're gonna see that place buzzing as usual. So here's one look up the Drag just to see how quiet it is. Um, a little bit of vehicle traffic now, uh, pedestrian traffic very light still. So that's your view from the intersection of Guadalupe on 22nd outside of Cafe Medici Sunday morning, uh, March 23rd.
