Zilker Sunshine. Sunny Skies and Open Spaces: A Perfect Day at Zilker Park for Outdoor Activities

Hi, Mr. G here reporting for City Vibe. I'm at Ziler Park at the Great Lawn. You see the Austin skyline in the backdrop, and it's sunny. It's pretty quiet out here. It's not that busy, and the grass is dry right now. It's 11:47. Almost noon, so it is the hot part of the day, but it is very beautiful out here. A lot of people are just starting to come out here, starting to get pretty busy. And uh plenty of parking as well. I'm at the trail at Ziler Park. This is where the train usually comes today. I haven't seen the little train today. Uh, it is really nice and sunny today. It's actually a great day for swimming or jumping in the water. This is the popular Ziler Park Trail and the water seems pretty nice. It's calmed down from all the rain. It's not anybody really swimming in there. It's like, uh, some people are, uh, jumping the bridge. This is a popular bridge there. Where people like to jump off, uh, the water still is a little murky. It still has those green things in it. There are some people swimming down there. But, um, even though it is a beautiful day, uh, there are kayakers out there standing standing boards and stuff like that. Um, not really much swimming going on today. Probably have to wait a few more days before the water is good enough to swim, but, uh, beautiful sight out here at Ziler Park.
