Morning Activity on Shoal Creek Trail: Light Foot Traffic Observed Despite Cool Weather

Hey everyone, Gary from City vibe here, it is uh Wednesday morning. 9:54 a.m. And uh Just dropping down onto uh Shoal Creek trail here. Uh, nice to hear a little guitar music. Out here So yeah, I am uh right at the base now of the uh Independence, the Jenga building, uh, passing the little plaza outside the library, and this will bring us out to the inner section of Shoal Creek. And uh Ladybird Lake. Let's see. It is um quite a cool morning, comparatively a cool morning anyway, uh, so I'm expecting to see, yeah, a good number of folks out on the trail down here as we just dip underneath uh the uh Rainbow bridge. There we go, we got the Incredible Austin library there on the right hand side. Of course this is 2nd Street here. Yeah, so it's uh, Not exactly overwhelming traffic out here, uh, probably a little bit late for the serious run clubs, I think, uh. Oh, I don't know. Yeah, there's somebody else coming north up the trail. So yeah, I'm gonna say it's pretty light. boy, more dogs and uh runners out here, but, uh, yeah, that's your view from the Shoal Creek Trail on Wednesday morning. Hey everyone, this is Gary from City Vibe out on the Shoal Creek trail, uh, right outside the, uh, Austin Downtown library, and that's the, uh, beautiful, uh, sculpture called The Truth is I Love You right there and a couple actually stretching out together as well, which is nice. Um, you know, it is relatively cooler out here, um, than perhaps perhaps a week ago. Uh, the humidity is lower, the air temperature is lower. Um, you know, I don't want to jinx us, we may have started to turn the corner a little bit. Uh, I think last night was the last sunset after 8 p.m. sun is gonna start. Setting a little earlier and rising a little later, which means the burners don't get turned on quite as intently. Uh, so I'm enjoying my walk, as you can see I'm just dipping down now right to the point of intersection of the Shoal Creek and. Uh, Ladybird Lake, Channel Lake. Got some uh folks out walking their pubs here, yeah, more definitely more traffic on the the Butler hike and bike trail than there is on the Shoal Creek Trail, which I guess is to be expected. So Gary from City Vibe, wishing you a happy hump day.
