Unexpected Downpour Turns Zilker Park into a Water Wonderland, Halting Outdoor Plans
It's July 3rd, 2025, 2:47 in the afternoon. Mr. G out here in front of the great lawn at Ziler Park, and it's extremely wet conditions. We had a few inches of rain here in central Texas in just the last couple of hours. Uh, the great lawn is the great pool right now. I've never seen this much water, uh, at Ziler Park. Uh, no, no, no place for a picnic today. The rain did stop for now, but it's a very wet and, uh, puddly conditions out here. Mr. Gee reporting for City Vibe. Aloha.
I'm at Ziler Park on July 3, 2025. We just experienced a few inches of heavy rain and thunderstorms here in central Austin. This is the Ziler Park train. It's not running today. There's nobody out here, uh, except for me, basically. There is a, it was a very hard, hard rainstorm, and you cannot go to. Ziler right now with encountering huge rain puddles. So unless you want to get wet and get soaked, uh, surprisingly there are still people out on the bridge, uh, jumping off the bridge. So there are some people, uh, still out here, but overall Ziler Park is, uh, really wet, really flooded, and you get a shot of the water right there. Not too good for swimming today.
