Morning Rush: Minimal Traffic Observed on Shoal Creek Trails Amid Austin’s Early Hour Development

Video Transcript
I'm at the Town Lake Hike and Bike Trail. It's 7:26 a.m. I'm just west of I-35 in the middle of downtown and all the hotels. There's a huge bird's nest right there. It's a really uh popular attraction, and this is the Hartman Bridge that they just built. It's right in the, uh, center of, uh, Town Lake just past the rainy, and, uh, they're, they're adding a lot of new stuff over here near bridge. They're building more, uh. Boardwalk access over there, I guess you could call it. By the rowing center and the workers are out here. They're adding to the uh trail, making new things out here and uh. Up here by the Austin Rowing Club is where you get a lot of foot traffic, a lot of people coming in from the downtown area right there, and, uh. You gotta be careful, it gets kind of uh. Cramped up here, especially on the weekends. Mr. G reporting for City Vibes. It's on Lake Hike and Bike Trail, 7:28 a.m. a good time to come out when it's not too hot. It's probably, uh, 70 something degrees, it's gonna get close to 100 as usual, and it's not very busy either. For now, Class 1 e-bikes are allowed on the town Lake hike and bike trail, and if you're wondering, it's way less busy on the east side of the trail east of 35 than it is on the west side. The further west you go on the hike and bike trail here. The more people you're gonna get. So, on the weekends, Saturday and Sunday, you will have hardly any room to run over here just because it's. And uh this, this e-bike goes 15 to 20 MPH. You can't do that on the weekends. This is the part that's usually very busy, especially on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. So if you want to get some exercise, it's good coming early and beat the crowds.
