Morning Buzz: Light Erosion and Joggers Populate Lady Bird Lake Trails
Hey, good morning y'all. It's, uh, Wednesday morning, July 9th, 7:47 a.m. and this is Gary with City vibe out on the Ladybird Lake hike and bike trail, um, just standing right at the base of the South First Street ramp here, uh, bringing you your morning movement meter, just taking a look at the, uh, recreational traffic on the trail this morning. Absolutely beautiful morning, 75 degrees, low humidity, sun's just making its way up there in the east. You can just see the waterline tower down here. Got a guy out here enjoying the day on his mountain bike look. Uh, one thing I do notice though, um. Is that there has been some light erosion of the trail. Uh, those heavy rains we had over July 4th weekend, uh, you can see here marked by this yellow cone and there are more cones underneath the South First Street bridge as well. Uh, so it's a beautiful day to come out for a run or a walk or a bike ride. Um, but just be cognizant of the trail conditions underfoot. And this is your view now, uh, looking west along the Ladybird Lake hike and bike trail on a beautiful Wednesday morning.
Hey everyone, it's a beautiful Wednesday morning out on the Ladybird Lake hike and bike trail. This is Gary with City Vibe, just at the base of the South First Street ramp. Uh, 75 degrees, low humidity, very light breeze, the sun there coming up in the east. Silhoueing that beautiful downtown skyline. There's a waterline tower there look just in view. Uh, just pointing out there is a little light erosion on the trail caused by the heavy rains we had over July 4th weekend. Uh, so come out, enjoy this beautiful morning, uh, but just be cognizant about what's underfoot. At your view now looking west along the trail with the the Google building just on the north side of Cesar Chavez.
