Market Melody. Republic Square Farmers Market Thrives with New Live Music and Diverse Stalls

Hey, good morning everyone. This is, uh, Gary from City Vibe, just easing into the day at the Downtown Farmers Market right here next to Republic Square park. And a new addition to the market this week, we've got some live music. I feel like the market is really Coming back into its own again now out on 4th Street after quite a long period of being displaced because of the construction on the Republic Tower, which is now thankfully complete. Seeing a more diverse group of vendors out here, um, of course the staples are here, uh, the fruits, the veggies, the baked goods, but we're seeing more craft booths set up as a permanent uh jewelry booth here, um. Baked goods. I've never met a, a blueberry scone yet that I didn't like. And um one of my favorites actually, he's wuff Dog. Always a bunch of raw dog uh raw rawhide action uh going on here. And look at this big boy, boy. And a Frenchie as well. Yeah, this little, uh, seating area now is great if you're gonna grab a, maybe a fruit drink or, um, we got some baklava there, um, and I think I'm gonna stop by Yappa actually and uh. Grab an empanada. Let's see what we got on the the menu here. Everyone, Gary from City Vibe out on 4th Street at the Republic Square Farmers' Market. Yeah, a good number of people out here, just enough for it to be a nice atmosphere, not overly crowded. I like that the booths are nicely spread out as well. Uh, while the construction was going on on Republic, uh, Tower here, the market was sort of compressed into that little, uh, walkway alongside the courthouse, but this is great. I feel like the market is sort of stretching its legs now, introducing some live music, uh, some new vendors out here. Uh, these guys Shirttail Creek Farms always are the sort of powerhouse when it comes to protein. Let's take a look at the menu here, uh. And uh Let's take a look at my uh my favorite uh fresh produce guy. Uh, this is Casper here uh from Animal Farm. always has the the best organic produce and a great selection.
