'Gone to Texas' Event Setup in Full Swing at University of Texas

Hey everyone, this is Gary for City vibe over at the 40 acres on Tuesday lunchtime. It's April 19th, 11:16 a.m. This is the, uh, the main mall right in front of the UT Tower, and you know it's getting close to the start of the semester. Uh, when the uh set up for “Gone to Texas” event kicks off and, uh, moving in week or moving weekend is just a few days away and, uh, as any Longhorns know, gone to Texas is a big Pep rally slash welcome event uh for new Longhorns. And uh, let's see what we've got here. Looks like this is the um audio visual uh set up here, the front of house for the, the lights and the sound that will accompany this event. Like a medical tent is already up as well and people will be able to take in this new uh. New landscaping as well that's gone on over the summer months. Uh, what used to be a hedged in area now is more open plan. These marigolds have gone down. Uh, I think the hedge must be coming back. I notice they do have these, uh, rather flimsy plastic. Uh, fencing around, I guess just to protect the flower beds while the hedge grows in again. Let's see what else we got here. Yeah, scaffold going up as a. Bunch of activity going on here as well. It looks like George Washington keeping an eye on these riggers here as they're setting up this uh. This scaffold right here. So that's your view from University of Texas set up for the Gone to Texas event.
