Austin's Trails Offer Tranquility After Rain as Runners and Walkers Reappear
Hey, on Monday morning, this is Gary from City vibe, bringing you inside the action of Austin's. Run clubs, uh, we're headed south. Excuse the camera wobble headed south down Congress Avenue. Uh, we're about to get onto the, uh, Butler Hike and bike trail right here by the Congress Avenue bridge. Uh, we were blessed with a brief rain shower this morning, folks. Uh, called everything right off. Uh, it's 10:12 a.m. now, Monday, August the 4th. And uh I've been dropped. I've just done a backside breakaway. Oh boy, so, uh. This is Gary, out of breath for city vibe with Austin's Run Clubs out on Congress Avenue at 2nd.
Hey everyone, this is Gary from City Vibe. Uh, with a little jackrabbit here on the Butler hike and bike trail. I don't want to get too close and spook the little guy. Uh, we were just breast blessed with a brief shower, uh, cooled everything down briefly. It's quite overcast as well now, uh, so it's quite comfortable. Um, runners look like they're coming back onto the trail again. Of course, uh, the problem with the shower here in the summer is in about an hour's time the sun will break through. And uh it'll bake off that moisture and just turn it into humidity. Uh but for now I'm just going to enjoy. Uh, brief Laps in the heat, uh, right underneath the Anne Richards Congress Avenue bridge. Home of course of the world's largest urban Mexican free tail bat colony.
Hey, good morning everyone, it's uh Gary from City Vibe. Monday morning, August 4th, it's at 10:30 a.m. I'm out on the Butler hike and bike trail. And folks, we just had the briefest little rain shower cooled everything off. Uh, sky is overcast now. And I'm just out here enjoying a reprieve from the heat, listening to the sound of bicycle tires on the gravel trail here. Of course the problem when it rains in the summer is that uh in about an hour from now, the sun will have baked off the moisture and it'll be super humid again, but for now. I'm going to enjoy it while it lasts. Little breeze here stirring the trees next to the Like ladybird, get out of this fellow's way. And there you go, there's your Monday morning movement meter from the town Lake hike and bike trail.
Hey everyone, it's Gary for City vibe. Out on the Butler hike and bike trail right underneath the First Street bridge with everybody's favorite family of ducks. We've just had the briefest of rains and there's a beautiful breeze coming through, or maybe it's that guy wafting his tail feathers I can feel. Um, but, uh, it's gonna be super humid again, the sun will quickly bake off that, uh, that light rain we just had, uh, but for now, uh, Gary. And the South First Street ducks are just enjoying. This respite from the heat. As we look out to the east along Ladybird Lake.
