UT Austin Prepares for Fall: New Developments and Historic Landmarks Await Students
Hey everyone, happy hump Day. It is uh August 13th, Wednesday afternoon. 4:30 p.m. This is Gary for City Vibe, over at the University of Texas and uh new sign, who this? I noticed one of the uh. Improvements over the summer months has been some improvements to the traffic control booth that sits here, uh, right on 24th Street, just a block. Uh, east of the drag, quite a busy intersection. Let me just give you some of the highlights here. Of course it's a beautiful littlefield home. Uh, caddy corner from where I am, if I pan across, uh, that's the student union building over there. Let's go and say hi to Miss Jordan, uh, Barbara Jordan, sculpture. Stands tall and proud right here at this inner section. Oh beautiful in the shade of these historic live oaks, and I cannot over overstate folks, uh, just how much pedestrian traffic this intersection, uh. Usually has during Uh, the semester. So we're less than 2 weeks now from the start of the semester. Uh, mooove in week is the, uh, 22nd and 23rd, and, uh, school starts back properly on Monday, the 25th, and this inner section and, uh, all of these, uh, all of these walkways through campus will just be a sea of humanity again. And of course UT Longhorns will be welcomed back by this uh new sign at the traffic control booth.
