Discover Tranquility on the Tree-Lined Paths of Shoal Creek, Austin
Hey everyone, Gary from City vibe here, just easing into my day, easing into the week on the iron footbridges at zigzag across Shoal Creek just south of 5th Street. So Monday morning, August 4th, 9:20 a.m. And a little bit of rain actually, to start the week. I love this old elm tree here, how uh it's almost become one. With the steel girders of the bridge. Now as you turn the corner here past uh Elle West. I always Enjoy these uh reproduction, vintage lampposts. that they have along here. Kind of gives a. An old Quebec kind of feel about it, almost like a Avenue Cartier in in Quebec City. And you dip underneath a promenade here covered promenade with an arch of trees. Completely enclosed. The uh the path. Yeah, it's just a beautiful little walk alongside Elle West, and off in the distance here there's a splash of red. There's some Canna lilies Uh, otherwise known as Indian shot, uh, just right on the corner here. that I always love to stop. And uh take a look at little tip here if you're into flora and fauna, uh there is a feature on the iPhone where you can photograph a plant or a tree and it'll identify it for you. That's how I learned about these beautiful canna lilies. These Indian shots, aren't they beautiful?
